A paradise for alpine ski enthusiasts, Courchevel also has plenty to offer nature lovers and weekend adventurers. And for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, strolling through the picturesque streets of the resort’s charming villages is just as delightful.

Europe’s largest ski area is also home to smaller, hidden gems like Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, a charming village known for its traditional stone-and-wood farmhouses, as well as a handful of cozy Savoyard restaurants and shops. In summer, the region transforms into a playground for outdoor enthusiasts, offering hiking, biking, and even fishing in its rivers and lakes. The hardest part? Deciding what to do first!

Le Moulin
a stunning chalet for rent in Courchevel Le Praz

For four generations, Alexandra and Jessica’s family has dedicated itself to hospitality, managing Hôtel Les Peupliers, a true institution in Courchevel. Inspired by this legacy, the two sisters launched Les Chalets de Jann, a collection of exceptional rental properties in Courchevel Le Praz, combining the comfort and services of a luxury hotel with the charm of private chalets.

Among these properties, Le Moulin stands out for its rich history and remarkable transformation. Once home to the hotel’s staff, this family building was completely renovated in 2021 by Atelier Giffon, a renowned architecture firm from Lyon. Today, this four-story chalet seamlessly blends authenticity with modernity, combining local materials—stone, larch wood, original beams, and skylights—with contemporary elements like expansive windows that open up to the breathtaking landscape.

Its top-tier amenities ensure an unforgettable stay, including an outdoor spa, hammam, ski room, fireplace, and home cinema. And with its prime location just steps from restaurants, shops, and ski lifts, convenience is as much a part of the experience as comfort.

True to their hospitality heritage, Alexandra and Jessica are committed to providing a fully personalized experience. Even before guests arrive, every detail is taken care of—restaurant reservations, activities, and services are all arranged in advance. Each morning, a generous breakfast prepared by the housekeeper awaits, featuring pastries, local specialties, and fresh fruit. A butler is on hand to cater to every request, whether it’s an afternoon snack after a day on the slopes or an aperitif by the fireplace following a relaxing spa massage.

Facing the majestic Dent du Villard and the snow-capped peaks of the Vanoise, the 1550 stands proudly in the heart of the Trois Vallées, the world’s largest ski area. Nestled in the preserved hamlet of Brigues in Courchevel 1550, this unique property reflects a deliberate vision by its two founders, both passionate about skiing and ski touring.

This bold vision comes to life through inspirations drawn from modernist architecture and the iconic work of Charlotte Perriand, honoring a refined yet understated elegance—qualities rarely found in this prestigious resort. After nine months of meticulous work, including a seamlessly integrated extension, the chalet now features eight en-suite rooms, each with its own unique character and filled with carefully curated details. Among them, a family suite and three semi-buried dens offer breathtaking mountain views, further enhancing the constant connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape.

At the heart of the chalet, the main floor features a welcoming, professional-grade kitchen—perfect for gathering over a convivial breakfast—and a spacious living room bathed in natural light. The focal point of the space is an impressive fireplace, carved from a nearly seven-ton block of Mont-Blanc granite. Expansive windows frame breathtaking alpine landscapes, inviting quiet contemplation. Overhead, hand-painted motifs by Atelier Felicita adorn the ceiling, paying tribute to the modernist architecture of Flaine.

Whether for a luxury yoga retreat or a well-deserved recharge after a day on the slopes, it’s the ultimate sanctuary for relaxation and well-being.

The experience doesn’t stop there. The chalet is packed with amenities designed to delight guests of all ages: Kids Paradise, a secret hideaway for young adventurers; an ultra-functional ski room for seamless access to the slopes; a projection room with a giant screen for cozy movie nights; a charming grocery corner in the kitchen for added convenience; and a dedicated massage room for ultimate relaxation. A true haven where luxury and authenticity come together, offering unforgettable holidays in the heart of the mountains.

Chalet Artemisia seen from the sky.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle often associated with Courchevel, in the picturesque neighborhood of Moriond l’Ensoleillée, lies Artemisia—a 300 m² chalet perfectly situated between the renowned Belvédère forest and the slopes of the Trois Vallées, the world’s largest ski area. In this untouched natural setting, where foxes and deer can sometimes be spotted roaming nearby, the chalet offers a rare sense of tranquility. With five bedrooms, it accommodates up to ten guests, each enjoying uninterrupted views of the mountains or the forest.

The luxurious master suite opens onto a private terrace, offering an unobstructed 180-degree view of the surrounding peaks. The expansive outdoor spaces provide a breathtaking panorama of the snow-covered slopes, creating the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or unwind after a day of skiing while soaking in the serenity of the mountains. With its prime location, the chalet offers direct access to the slopes via the Granges ski lift—a true haven for winter sports enthusiasts. And for added convenience, ski equipment can be easily stored in the dedicated ski room located at the entrance.

Designed with families in mind, the chalet offers a seamless and stress-free stay with a range of thoughtful services: daily housekeeping, advance ski rental, and a breakfast prepared each morning with fresh local products—all complemented by the discreet care of Catherine, the owner. But the experience doesn’t stop there. Artemisia features a wellness area in the basement, complete with a sauna, hammam, and massage room—perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. To end the evening, cozy up with a good book by the fire or enjoy a movie in the dedicated screening room. What truly sets Artemisia apart is its authenticity—far from the flashy luxury often associated with Courchevel. To understand this philosophy, one must look back to 1982, when Serge inherited the land where the chalet now stands—a place filled with childhood memories of tending to animals alongside his mother and grandmother.

A native of the resort, Serge took on an ambitious challenge: building a chalet with his own hands. In 2014, he and his wife decided to completely transform the property—originally three separate apartments—into a spacious and welcoming family home. They chose to honor tradition by using authentic materials: larch wood, locally sourced stones, reclaimed wood repurposed into furniture and decorative pieces, and curtains crafted from wool spun at the Arpin mill. Their hands-on approach and dedication to local craftsmanship reflect their ingenuity and deep connection to the region. Fortunately for guests, the owners still live in Courchevel, allowing them to share insider tips and hidden gems that make for a truly unique stay.
