Santa Lazo
A townhouse for rent in Saint-Paul-de-Vence

Welcome to Santa Lazo, an elegant 17th-century townhouse where history, art, and design come together effortlessly. Nestled in the heart of Saint-Paul-de-Vence’s historic village, this meticulously restored home spans three floors, offering a tranquil retreat where every detail has been thoughtfully considered. Accommodating up to four guests, it captivates with its bright, airy spaces, carefully curated vintage furniture, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and surrounding mountains.

The house underwent its first renovation in 2007 under the care of its former owner, who was dedicated to preserving its authentic character. Like the entire village, it is a listed property and has retained its original structure while integrating modern comforts. In 2021, a new restoration was undertaken by the current owner, an interior designer, who refined the existing materials while addressing imperfections. Her goal? To create a solid yet elegant foundation—a true blank canvas where period features, such as terracotta tiles and traditional plaster, blend seamlessly with discreet contemporary touches.

La Miette, one of the treasures of Saint-Paul-de-Vence

A true love at first sight! As you wander through the winding streets of Saint-Paul-de-Vence—this stunning medieval village that France keeps hidden—it’s impossible to overlook the jasmine-covered façade, concealing a piece of French poetry history. Known as La Maison Prévert, this iconic home is a tribute to both art and Provençal elegance.

Meticulously restored by Katie Lyons Interiors, La Miette has been transformed into a charming seasonal accommodation, featuring two suites, all imbued with a poetic and timeless atmosphere. Fate led Katie and her partner Oli to this house: while casually flipping through a real estate catalog picked up in a parking garage, they came across an ad for La Miette. Upon discovering it was La Maison Prévert, they didn’t hesitate for a second. Aware of the historical significance of the place and the cultural heritage of Saint-Paul, they embarked on this journey with a clear vision: to preserve the home’s authentic charm while offering future guests a unique experience. Today, on the shelves, a collection of Prévert’s poems awaits visitors, inviting them to immerse themselves in the world that once inspired these walls.

Time-worn wooden beams, carefully selected antique furniture—every detail has been thoughtfully curated to enhance the unique soul of this home. And let’s not forget the stunning old fireplace, perfect for long, cozy evenings by the fire when the air turns crisp.

For aspiring writers and renowned authors alike, La Miette is a true sanctuary of inspiration—a place where creativity flourishes amid echoes of the past. Its mysterious charm reaches its peak in the grand vaulted bathroom, accessible through an intriguing tunnel, adding a luxurious yet enchanting touch to the experience.

Katie and Oli paid meticulous attention to detail at every step. Whether it’s the iron-rich lime plaster, applied with remarkable precision to the walls, or the carefully thought-out layout designed to suit local living, everything has been crafted to offer a unique experience. Now based in Nice, the passionate couple envisioned every aspect, down to the daily rituals that future guests of Number 5 can enjoy.

Here are a few of the simple pleasures to savor: watching the sunrise from the bed, preparing a glass of local wine or a pastis at the little bar set up in the living room, then sipping it on the terrace, or even taking a bath while enjoying the breathtaking view.

The owners will be happy to arrange tailor-made activities for guests: wine tastings, in-home massages, daily cleaning, or even a private cooking class with a chef to introduce you to the art of local cuisine…

Once these moments of relaxation have been enjoyed, it’s time to explore Saint-Paul-de-Vence, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in France. Famous for its galleries, art foundations, and iconic restaurants like La Colombe d’Or—a place Katie loved visiting as a child with her parents—the village promises to satisfy your thirst for art and history, while delighting travelers at its finest dining spots.

Villa Collinette
A villa tucked away in the hinterland of Nice

The Mediterranean garden of Villa Collinette.

Built on land steeped in history, once home to an abbey, Villa Collinette perfectly embodies Provençal authenticity. Surrounded by century-old olive trees and nestled in the heart of a protected pine forest, it was initially transformed into a traditional Provençal farmhouse before being acquired by Jacqueline Oravetto, an interior designer with a passion for art and design, who gave it a unique touch.

Spanning 160 m², Villa Collinette—named after the village—has been designed to blend comfort and conviviality. Laid out on a single level, it features a fully equipped open kitchen, a welcoming living area with a large dining table for six, and a spacious lounge furnished with a cozy sofa. On the private side, three generously sized double bedrooms each come with their own en-suite bathroom.

Fully renovated in 2024 by a Swedish company based in the south of France, the villa elegantly combines the timeless charm of Mediterranean style with Scandinavian simplicity. Natural materials take center stage: solid oak flooring creates a warm indoor atmosphere, making the house just as inviting in winter, with its fireplace, as it is in summer. On the terrace, Italian stone adds a touch of authenticity and refinement.

Each bedroom opens generously to the outdoors through large windows overlooking the lush garden, with some featuring a private balcony or terrace. The color palette embraces softness with light, natural tones—beige, taupe, off-white—inviting serenity and calm.

The outdoors are just as impressive: a landscaped garden of 7,000 m² offers an idyllic setting for relaxation, with a sparkling pool, a fire pit for cozy evenings, and a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and nearby villages.

Le Clos d’Allègre
A neo-Provençal villa with understated luxury

Located just steps from the most beautiful spots on the French Riviera—Cagnes-sur-Mer, Saint-Paul-de-Vence—Le Clos d’Allègre offers the full Mediterranean living experience and more. Here, everything is designed for comfort, with high-end amenities, a pool, and tailor-made services.

In summer, countless moments are shared in the outdoor kitchen, complete with a pizza oven, while younger guests enjoy the trampoline. And in winter, the charm is just as captivating—gatherings with family or friends by the fireplace in a living room where a reproduction of Van Gogh’s Wheat Fields takes center stage, a nod to the many painters who immortalized the region.

When the current owner and his family acquired Le Clos d’Allègre in 2022, they undertook an extensive renovation to restore the house to its former glory. Built in the 2000s on a former agricultural plot where violets once grew—a subtle tribute to Grasse, the perfume capital just 30 minutes away—the property appears far older than it is, thanks to its carefully crafted architecture and the use of noble materials.

For this transformation, they enlisted architects Lisa Zermati and Cédric Pourcher, co-founders of Studio Balagne in Nice. Their approach focused on a meticulous selection of exceptional local materials: Taj Mahal granite, Verde Alpi marble from the Marbrerie des Clausonnes, and a fully rebuilt roof featuring triple-geon tilework, characteristic of the region. The facades are coated with lime from a nearby quarry, which also supplied the corner stones. To further enhance the home’s authentic charm, new vaulted openings and basket-handle windows were added, bringing softness and fluidity to the interior spaces. Every detail and finish was carefully considered in this painstaking process, giving Le Clos d’Allègre its unique character and undeniable appeal.

Les Restanques
A Balinese-inspired villa for rent in Vence

Les Restanques, a villa with breathtaking views, is nestled in Vence, a village ideally located between Tourrettes-sur-Loup and the famous Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Less publicized than its neighbor, Vence has nevertheless been ranked the fourth most beautiful town in Europe by National Geographic—a recognition that is more than deserved.

As you step through a stunning hammered wrought-iron gate and follow a path lined with cacti, a breathtaking 180-degree panorama unfolds before you. The house and its terraced gardens immediately draw the eye. Renovated in 2022 by decorator Julien Perello, who sought to embrace the “slow” trend, the property exudes a serene, exotic atmosphere, enhanced by a palette of white, woody, and mineral tones.

Nestled in the heart of a private terraced estate, this contemporary Provençal villa spans several levels. On the upper floor, three elegant suites open onto balcony-terraces, offering unobstructed views. The lower level features a fourth suite, two cozy lounges, and an open kitchen.

This living space extends outdoors onto a spacious, furnished terrace overlooking a 1,900 m² landscaped garden, shaped by the region’s characteristic limestone reliefs, the baous. These natural terraces, known as restanques, divide the garden into distinct areas: the main terrace with its infinity pool, a pétanque court below, and various inviting relaxation spots. Among them, shaded sunbeds under the olive trees and an elegant four-poster bed, discreetly tucked away, invite you to unwind.

The garden, a true natural haven, brings together a rich mix of plant species—imposing cacti, sculptural cica-agaves, fragrant citrus trees, and delicate grasses—adding depth, texture, and movement to the landscape.
