Ten minutes from Honfleur,
a charming cottage for rent
It doesn’t get more countryside than this! The very charming La Roquerie cottage is a place that leaves a lasting impression. A true lover of Normandy, the owner fell in love with the region during her first visits, drawn to its roots in Impressionism. Rich in history, particularly with its connections to the D-Day landings, and bordered by the English Channel, Normandy shares a deep bond with Britain.
The charming Roquerie carries on this tradition with pride. Its owner, Aurélie, honors this connection by imbuing the house with a countryside spirit, showcased in the red kitchen adorned with vintage teapots—a cozy setting for enjoying teatime while overlooking the garden.
The owner has transformed these spacious rooms—a cathedral-style living room, a kitchen, and three bedrooms, including one tucked away in a cozy alcove—into a haven of rich, maximalist décor. In the sleeping areas, layers of linens take center stage: soft sheets, duvets, patterned cushions galore, and comforters combine to create a warm, inviting ambiance. Throughout the home, carefully sourced antiques add character and soul: brass candleholders, old portraits boldly displayed above a clawfoot bathtub, and other treasures spark intrigue.
Every corner invites the imagination, offering the perfect setting to dream up countless stories, both indoors and in the lush garden that extends the home’s enchanting charm. The true centerpiece, however, is the library—a space straight out of an English club, complete with diamond-cut crystal decanters. Here, warmed by the crackling fire, one can lose themselves in a book chosen at random, traveling far beyond the borders of Normandy. A private retreat, ideal for escaping and recharging.
The charming living room of La Roquerie.
With the sea just minutes away for a swim anytime and the forest right at your doorstep, countless horizons await exploration. In Deauville, take a stroll along the iconic boardwalk or enjoy a horseback ride on the beach. Further east, in Honfleur—a picturesque port town famed for its Old Harbor lined with colorful houses, cobblestone streets, and art galleries—you can savor oysters aboard the Union fait la force boat before visiting the Eugène Boudin Museum to admire the ethereal works of the Impressionists. Nature, culture, and gastronomy—honestly, what more could you ask for?
Welcome to La Roquerie.

Right next door, Trouville enchants visitors with its bustling fish market, lively beach, and authentic seaside resort charm. A little slice of paradise, it’s the perfect destination for a family getaway, whether for a week or longer.
The Abbaye de Deauville, facing the English Channel.
The Abbaye de Deauville, with its 150 years of history, combines the charm of the old buildings of the Côte Fleurie with the comfort of a high-end complex. Comprising two houses, this spacious property features traditional brick architecture blended with modern decor, punctuated by nods to Normandy’s craftsmanship, such as millstones transformed into garden tables. With direct access to the beach, it can accommodate up to 30 people, making it ideal for family or friends’ getaways. From the interiors and the garden, one can endlessly admire the stunning sea view and the boats in the distance.
The estate offers a wide range of activities to suit every preference: a sauna, a jacuzzi overlooking the garden, a gym, tennis courts, and a library for moments of quiet relaxation by the sea. Children are equally well catered for with a playroom, charming little chalets, and swings set within the expansive park. Spanning two lush hectares, the park is a tranquil haven that blends maritime landscapes with vibrant vegetation, including apple orchards, groves, and romantic viewpoints.

Guests are invited to savor timeless moments, such as enjoying a morning coffee in the veranda while gazing out at the vast sea. A peaceful sanctuary, this is a truly unique rental where nature, history, and the art of living harmoniously come together.
The indoor pool of the Villa de Byans.
Just a few steps from the Casino, the Hôtel Le Normandy, and the famous boardwalk, the Villa de Byans is the third gem in the Les Maisons Fabel collection, right in the heart of Deauville. Transformed in 2020, this residence beautifully blends the charm of the old—with its stone and wood façade, white balustrade balconies, and large fireplace—and contemporary elements like colorful furniture and industrial-style French windows.
Spread across five levels, the villa is brimming with unique features: a library filled with a diverse collection of Prix Goncourt books and comics, a striking vintage poster adorning one wall, and, most impressively, a heated indoor pool. This pool, adorned with handcrafted mosaics inspired by Deauville’s beach cabins and Pompeian baths, includes a standout detail—an octopus, the emblem of Les Maisons Fabel, specially designed by the artist Garance Dupont.
The spacious and inviting living areas—such as the gray and blue-toned living room, the ultramodern kitchen, and the large dining room—create a warm and cozy atmosphere, especially in the winter. With six bedrooms, each featuring an en-suite bathroom, the villa accommodates up to 12 guests, offering an exceptional level of comfort in the historic center of Deauville. An outdoor space with a barbecue, a beach hut filled with treasures, and a pool that opens to the outdoors make this property truly special—perfect for stays with family or friends. The added bonus? The villa is just steps away from shops and restaurants.

In Canapville,
the perfect cottage for a traditional English-style holiday
In Canapville, a small village located near Trouville and Deauville, stands an authentic half-timbered Normandy house, nestled in a 850 m² garden. Perfect for a getaway between the countryside and the coast, this home can accommodate up to six people. Antoine and Romane, originally from Brittany and now living in Paris, were looking for a seaside retreat when they fell in love with L’Albizia. With its large bay windows, flower-filled garden, half-timbered walls, and slate roof, this 20th-century house had many qualities. They became the proud owners in 2023.
With a surface area of 106 m², L’Albizia features three bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is a suite with a double bed and two additional beds. Upstairs, you’ll find one bedroom with a double bed, another with a single bed, and a mezzanine equipped with a single bed. A bathroom, accessible from one of the bedrooms, completes the layout. Ideally located just ten minutes by car from Deauville and Trouville, and only 2.5 hours from Paris, this house is the perfect retreat to enjoy both the beach and the surrounding nature.
The lovely living room of L'Albizia.
To breathe new life into their home, Antoine and Romane undertook refreshing renovations while carefully preserving the charm of the original flooring: terracotta, terrazzo, tiles, sea rush, and polished concrete. They repainted the living room walls white to maximize natural light, while warm terracotta tones were chosen for the office and bathroom. A standout feature of the living room is a custom-made bookshelf, beautifully crafted by a local artisan.
The bookshelf showcases unique objects collected by Romane, who loves rearranging them to reflect her changing moods. Renovated armchairs add a personal and cozy touch, bringing to mind the charm of a British cottage. In the evening, the warmth of the fireplace sets the perfect scene for savoring a hot chocolate, creating an inviting and relaxed atmosphere.
The garden of L’Albizia is perfect for relaxation, but the surrounding area offers plenty to discover as well. Antoine and Romane share some of their favorite activities: running through the countryside or along Deauville’s boardwalks, visiting the bustling fish market in Trouville, wandering the charming alleys of Honfleur, or indulging in some shopping in Deauville. They also recommend the beaches of Blonville and the seaside restaurants in Bernerville, as well as welcoming spots like Les 4 Chats or the lively ambiance of L’Équilibriste.

In Caen,
a Normandy countryside cottage for rent
L'Annexe by Laurence du Tilly.
Not far from the beaches of the English Channel, Laurence du Tilly, a talented decorator, transformed a 65 m² former stable into a bucolic and contemporary retreat. In this historic place, located on the former property of a sharecropper, she brought to life a 2.0 countryside cottage. This project, called L’Annexe, complements her first, more sophisticated address, Chez Laurence du Tilly, and offers a completely immersive experience of disconnection.
Surrounded by fields and greenery, L’Annexe offers a serene retreat. Here, visitors can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, enveloped in a cocoon of tranquility where only nature and a few neighbors hint at the outside world. This former stable has been completely transformed to accommodate up to four guests. A modern extension adds to its charm, featuring two terraces that provide stunning views—especially of the breathtaking Normandy sunsets that never fail to captivate the owner.
Here, Laurence has created an intimate space that embodies her vision of a lifestyle where decoration takes center stage. Natural materials take the spotlight, with wood, velvet, and rattan blending seamlessly to craft a warm yet refined atmosphere. The spaces are further elevated by Laurence’s distinctive creations, such as the IBIZA dining table, made of metal with a velvety finish, and the playful, graphic Soeur lamps, which add a unique touch to the decor.
But L’Annexe isn’t just about its aesthetics. Laurence provides personalized services to make every stay truly special. Guests can request yoga classes or massages, ensuring an unparalleled wellness experience. The Swedish bath, tucked away for privacy, offers the perfect spot to unwind while taking in the calming views of the surrounding fields, no matter the season. Additional conveniences include on-demand housekeeping and a private parking space, ideal for leaving the car behind and exploring the area on foot.
Chez Laurence du Tilly,
the elegance of a private mansion for rent in the heart of Caen
Just steps from Place Saint-Sauveur in Caen stands one of the rare buildings to have survived the bombings of World War II: a former private mansion reimagined by stylist Laurence du Tilly. A native of Normandy and founder of her own interior design brand, Laurence left Paris to return to the region that inspired so many Impressionists. Her ambitious vision? To create high-end accommodations where the character of historic buildings merges with an authentic way of life.
Her first project, Chez Laurence du Tilly, is housed in an 18th-century private mansion in the heart of Caen. Spread across three levels, each designed as an apartment with its own unique decorative identity, the property also features inviting shared spaces: a vaulted cellar and a lounge-library with a fireplace and honesty bar. With 200 m² of space, it strikes the perfect balance between providing privacy and accommodating groups.
Welcome Chez Laurence du Tilly !
The colorful entrance of the private mansion Chez Laurence du Tilly.
The first floor features a 55 m² classic suite with Haussmann-style elegance, highlighted by period woodwork and herringbone parquet flooring. On the second floor, a contemporary space takes center stage, distinguished by raw wooden floors and minimalist yet striking décor.
The third floor, known as “the atypical,” offers a loft with slanted ceilings under white beams, opening onto a west-facing terrace—perfect for soaking up the last rays of the sun. Each studio is equipped with its own bathroom, sleeping area, and kitchen, providing the perfect balance for large groups to share social moments while retreating to their private spaces after a busy day.
Laurence du Tilly, leveraging her background in fashion journalism and her experience with high-end hotels, has brought meticulous attention to detail to this project. Guests are greeted by a carefully curated sensory experience: lounge music reminiscent of the Hôtel Costes and the subtle fragrance of Un Air de Colette, a tribute to the iconic Parisian boutique.
Each morning, the local baker delivers fresh bread straight to the breadbox, accompanied by a thoughtfully prepared breakfast. Laurence also provides bespoke services, including seafood platters, brunches, Kobido massages, and meditation sessions, designed to elevate her guests’ experience. With this exceptional venue, Laurence du Tilly redefines the art of living in Normandy, seamlessly blending elegance, comfort, and personalized hospitality. It’s a delightful rental that beckons guests to return year after year.
Between Cabourg and Houlgate,
a former school transformed into a holiday home for rent
The living room of L'Ancrier.
Nestled at the top of a peaceful dead-end street, just two minutes from the center of Dives-sur-Mer, L’Ancrier is a charming brick Norman building full of history. Renovated in 2023 by Julie and her partner, who were drawn to the surrounding calm and proximity to the sea, this house has maintained its character while adapting to the needs of a welcoming and comfortable vacation home. Built in 1900, this former boys’ school was named L’Ancrier in tribute to the anchor adorning its roof and the ink pot used by schoolchildren, a nod from the previous owners. While the house’s school days are gradually fading, a few details still remain, such as the old basketball hoop in the garden.
Today, this historic building has been transformed into a warm and functional country house, designed to accommodate up to ten people in its five bedrooms. Ideal for families, it is filled with amenities for both children and adults: books, toys, beach equipment, and much more. The sea, just five minutes away by car, adds to the appeal of this peaceful retreat.
Wishing to preserve the original structure, Julie and her husband chose a renovation focused on simple yet impactful updates, avoiding major works. The house is graced with large windows that fill the spaces with natural light and offer soothing views of the garden. Upstairs, a wide corridor ensures everyone enjoys a comfortable personal space.
At the heart of the house is the spacious living area, warm and inviting. A large, comfy sofa and a generous dining table set the stage for shared meals, games, and moments of relaxation. Throughout, books, magazines, and board games are ready to entertain guests, while the garage is stocked with beach toys and bikes for exploring the surrounding area.
The dining room of L'Ancrier.
The interior decoration, simple yet enhanced with colorful accents, evolves with the owners’ changing tastes. “Nothing is set in stone!” says Julie, a graphic designer by trade, who discovered a newfound passion for interior design during this project. Together with her husband, a DIY enthusiast, they crafted several bespoke pieces, including the coffee table in the living room and the kitchen counter, often combining tiles and wood in creative ways. To refresh the space, they repainted all the walls white, creating a bright and timeless backdrop that can be effortlessly updated over time.
L’Ancrier is the perfect base for exploring the region’s many treasures. Among the must-see activities, Julie and her husband suggest visiting the Saturday market under the medieval Halles, catching a movie at Le Drakkar cinema, or taking a stroll along Cabourg’s beach while enjoying a crêpe with a view of the English Channel. For history buffs, the cliffs of Les Vaches Noires in Houlgate and Villers-sur-Mer provide a fascinating opportunity for fossil hunting.
