Une Maison dans le Perche
An 18th-century farmhouse for rent

Une Maison dans le Perche, utterly bucolic.
With its dormer windows, old white stone fireplace, terracotta tiles, and lime plaster walls, this Perche building was full of charm! Alongside the original materials of Une Maison dans le Perche – terracotta tiles, stone, brick, and oak beams – polished concrete and a custom-made wrought-iron staircase crafted by a local artisan were added. ‘A happy marriage,’ as Isabelle puts it. Another highlight? ‘A beautiful brightness, thanks to the large openings, especially the kitchen window, which offers an unobstructed view of the pastures, where cows and horses create a true picture worthy of Rosa Bonheur.’
Three years of renovations have enhanced the old part of the house while adding an extra soul, where the Japanese wabi-sabi spirit blends with the refined comfort of daily life. In Japanese, wabi conveys the beauty of imperfection, balance, and an appreciation for simple pleasures. Here, this philosophy comes to life: the subtle “imperfections” of the materials were preserved to honor the home’s character, allowing time to naturally reveal their patina.
Nestled in the heart of the Perche Regional Natural Park, this peaceful haven is the perfect starting point to explore the paths of the Perche countryside. Close to the three iconic towns of the Perche – Bellême, Nogent-le-Rotrou, and Mortagne-au-Perche – a getaway is a must to wander through their historic centers. The region is full of treasures to discover: mushroom picking, hot air balloon rides, hikes, kayaking, flea markets and antiques galore, bike rides, and not to mention visits to gardens and castles.

Relais Ronsard
A bucolic village house for rent in the Perche
Set in a former workshop dating back to 1870, this charming building, with its gable facing Tailleurs Street, sits in the heart of Saint-Cyr-la-Rosière—near Bellême, a Petite Cité de Caractère and ranked the fifth most beautiful village in France in 2019. With a refined décor that seamlessly blends elegance and vintage accents, Vincent has crafted a warm, countryside ambiance across its 250 m².
With its six double bedrooms and a small dormitory accommodating up to four people, Relais Ronsard offers accommodation for up to 16 guests. At the back of the house, a delightful walled garden and a heated pool invite relaxation as soon as the first rays of sunshine appear. Located just 2 hours by car from Paris (1.5 hours by train), it’s the perfect getaway for a bucolic break away from urban bustle. The bonus? A concierge service for a carefree stay.
Nestled in the heart of the Perche Park, Relais Ronsard is the perfect starting point to explore the rolling landscapes of the Perche countryside. Close to the three iconic towns of Bellême, Nogent-le-Rotrou, and Mortagne-au-Perche, a visit to each is a must to soak in the local charm.
The surroundings offer plenty of authentic experiences: follow the Manor Route—each neighboring village boasts a 16th- or 17th-century manor visible from the trails—go mushroom picking, take a hot air balloon ride, hike, kayak, or browse a local flea market. Vincent, a true enthusiast, is quick to remind us that “the Perche is a paradise for antique hunting.” Or perhaps you’d rather simply curl up by the fire with a good book.

The Moulin
The most stylish house for rent in the Perche

The Moulin's Percheron longères.
Just two hours from Paris, Le Moulin is an idyllic getaway in the heart of the Perche Sarthois. Renovated by Lucas and Marine, this former mill – from which it takes its name – retains only the stream that runs through the garden from its past use. Its charm, however, remains intact: the stone walls, preserved in their original state, bear witness to the authenticity of the place, while the entire space has been reimagined with great taste.
The result? A perfect harmony between a bucolic, flower-filled garden and an interior of sophisticated design. From the very first moments, falling in love is inevitable. Lucas, from the duo Hauvette & Madani, has masterfully reimagined the spaces, bringing warmth and refinement to the building. The mill’s main room, once rustic, now features elegant white arches that define the space, a large tiled fireplace, and ultra-comfortable gray sofas.
Le Val Gaudry

Le Val Gaudry is, above all, a beautiful love story. First, that of Juliette and Sébastien, in search of the perfect place to celebrate their wedding. Then, a true love at first sight for this Perche farmhouse, built in 1802 on the surrounding hills.
Enchanted by this exceptional estate, they said “I do” here before embarking on an ambitious renovation to transform it into a vacation home for up to 28 lovers of the Perche, their cherished region. Nestled within a lush four-hectare estate, Le Val Gaudry is an invitation to slow down and savor the moment—where deer and rabbits roam freely, and nature takes center stage. This is the Percheron art of living!
Instead of a honeymoon in Bora Bora, Juliette and Sébastien took on a very different adventure: transforming this building into a warm and inviting space for reunions and grand celebrations. For a year and a half, Juliette, an interior designer, reimagined the spaces and collaborated with local artisans to breathe new life into the 700 m² estate. Her goal? To create a place where families and friends can come together without ever feeling cramped. A pool table, karaoke, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and bedrooms with private bathrooms—everything is designed for comfort and conviviality.
And because the charm of the old is what gives Le Val Gaudry its soul, every iconic element has been carefully preserved: original terracotta tiles, lime plaster, exposed beams, and stone window frames. These timeless details are sure to captivate those who appreciate authenticity and the beauty of historic craftsmanship.

La Maison de Jojo
An architect-designed house for rent in the Perche
Originally from the Basque Country, Amandine dreamed of reconnecting with nature after a lockdown spent in Paris. Her return to her roots ultimately led her to the Perche, where she found her haven of peace in the charming village of Verneuil d’Avre et d’Iton. Co-founder of the Gommez Vaez architecture studio, she fell in love with a typically Norman building, which she decided to name ‘La Maison de Jojo‘ in honor of her son Joseph.

Taking on its renovation, she transforms this village house into a charming countryside retreat brimming with character. While modernizing the spaces, Amandine carefully preserves the soul of the place—the beautiful timber-framed facade, the walled garden with its fish-filled pond, and the original materials that whisper the home’s history. Her efforts pay off, and La Maison de Jojo becomes a warm and welcoming haven. Whether working remotely in peace (special mention for the excellent Wi-Fi), hosting a barbecue in the garden, curling up by the stove with a book, or letting the kids enjoy their specially designed playroom—it’s kid-friendly—everyone finds their happiness here. A true Norman family home!

Maison Sauvage between the trees. Valentin Le Cron
Designed for convivial stays, Maison Sauvage is a unique wooden house featuring a spacious, fully equipped kitchen – perfect for the feasts the owners love hosting with friends –, a large terrace, and a layout designed for the comfort of eight guests. What’s on the agenda? A nature retreat, exploring the Perche, and indulging in local specialties. The bonus? A personal welcome and tailor-made arrival, so guests can focus solely on enjoying their stay.
In the warmer months, life at Maison Sauvage revolves around the outdoors: family walks through the countryside, naps in the hammock, leisurely lunches on the terrace, and strolls through the nearby forest… The possibilities are endless! And when the sun retreats, the chalet-like charm of the interior offers an equally inviting refuge. For the more adventurous, the picturesque villages of Bellême, Rémalard-en-Perche, and Nocé are just a short drive away—20 and 10 minutes, respectively.
On each floor—perched among the trees and birds, this cabin was designed for total immersion in nature—one discovers spaces in soothing monochrome hues. Each shade reflects the surrounding landscape: a caramel-toned dormitory reminiscent of wood, a terracotta room inspired by the region’s traditional tiles, a pine-green bathroom… The result? A seamless blend of indoors and outdoors, enhanced by large openings that welcome in light and nature. At night, as the stars appear between the trees, guests drift off in beds as comfortable as those of a luxury hotel.

Maison French Bon Temps
A cottage for rent in the Perche

The pretty garden of Maison French Bon Temps.
True to its name, Maison French Bon Temps is a true haven of good vibes. Designed as a headquarters for friends and family, this longère located in Tourouvre au Perche was renovated with the help of loved ones, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Spacious areas were created to bring everyone together and share beautiful moments: we cook together in the large kitchen – fully equipped with a large concrete countertop – before enjoying the meal around an imposing three-meter wooden table, perfect for ten guests. Thanks to the large windows, the whole space opens up to a breathtaking view of the garden.
After the feast, it’s time to relax in one of the many cozy corners of the house. A calming winter garden, a study with a well-stocked library, comfy sofas by the stove, or a movie night thanks to the projector… All that’s missing is a hot chocolate to complete the moment.
“From the moment of arrival, a deep sense of calm sets in.” And for good reason—nestled in the heart of a three-hectare park, the house offers a peaceful retreat, despite having a few neighbors nearby. Here, the activities are delightfully bucolic. Take your pick: gathering hazelnuts, walnuts, blackberries, and mushrooms, hiking to the Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Trappe or around the nearby lakes, horseback riding, or visiting a local permaculture farm.
But Normandy isn’t just about its natural and cultural heritage: it’s also a land of flavors and excellent products. At the Prépotin market, just a few minutes’ walk away, Sarah’s favorite farmers offer fresh produce, as well as regional delicacies such as pâtés, honey, apple juice… Another must-visit is the Mortagne-au-Perche market, perfect for picking up a roast chicken and new potatoes to enjoy on Sunday afternoon after a coffee on the village terrace. All that’s left is to savor it!
