From Marseille
to Serre-Chevalier

Living in Marseille, Margot discovered Serre-Chevalier through her husband, who has been visiting since childhood and learned to ski on the area’s snowy slopes. For the past two decades, they’ve returned to enjoy the fresh mountain air with their family. Chalet Aravet is their first high-end property in Serre-Chevalier, with plans for more destinations on the Côte d’Azur, Savoie, and the Alpilles.
Thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail, this brand-new chalet—conceived by Philippe Gautier and crafted by Chalets Bayrou—embodies the architectural style and materials synonymous with the alpine landscape: larch wood, reclaimed timber, and local stone. Completed in 2024, the chalet enchants with its sleek, elegant, and warm design. Mountain living, yes, but with style!
A chalet
as beautiful as it is welcoming
To furnish and decorate the interiors, the owners collaborated with Chalets Bayrou, who crafted all the wooden furniture. The subtly luxurious fabrics for the chairs, sofas, rugs, and curtains were sourced from L’Atelier des Frères. The chosen color palette? Reflecting the natural surroundings visible through the large windows, it features shades of beige, off-white, and brown. These warm tones give the chalet a mountain spirit that feels modern but not overly so. The atmosphere is welcoming, much like the owners themselves, who love hosting and have designed the common areas to be spacious and inviting.

The best
of the mountains
Staying at Chalet Aravet offers a hassle-free mountain experience. For the kids, the ski school is conveniently located just 30 meters from the chalet. Whether you’re with family or friends, you’ll appreciate the cable car being just a two-minute walk away, perfect for a scenic lunch at high altitude. The ultimate luxury? Finishing your ski session right in the garden of Chalet Aravet. Simply unbuckle your skis, leave your gear in the ski room, and enjoy a light snack prepared by a private chef.
What follows is quality time where the toughest decision will be choosing between activities: lounging in the pool with its counter-current swimming area, unwinding in the steam room, watching a movie in the dedicated cinema with some popcorn, or simply relaxing by the fire with a good book. And if that’s not enough, the concierge service can arrange a massage, snowmobile adventure, heliskiing in Italy, or a dog sledding excursion. After all, there’s more to life than just skiing!
