"Ocean, surf and style are our watchwords."
Domino Un is one of those hidden gems that we love to discover. Perfectly situated, thoughtfully designed, and tastefully decorated, it embodies the true spirit of Basque vacations… With its traditional blue and white façade, Domino Un captures the essence of Basque charm. Located in the heart of Guéthary village, this vacation home boasts a full-length swimming pool and a prime location that makes it an ideal spot for a memorable getaway.
Behind Domino Un are Audrey and Antoine Colombani, a couple with a deep passion for travel and architecture, and experts in crafting perfect family vacations. Audrey is the co-founder of AUSSIH, a renowned lifestyle concept store in Marseille. Antoine, who works in real estate, hails from a family with a rich legacy in decoration and hospitality: his mother founded the Honoré store and furniture brand, his sister established the La Famille restaurant in Marrakech, and his brother owns two popular eateries in the Alpilles—Edú and Quasi Bistrot.
Ready for the holidays?
Pool or ocean (just a few minutes away), the hardest part will be choosing.
The couple from Marseille chose the Basque Country and the charming village of Guéthary as the site for the first house in their project, Maisons Dominos—a collection of beautifully designed vacation homes available for rent.
This first Basque retreat boasts five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a large heated swimming pool adorned with pink deckchairs and striped parasols. It offers inviting indoor and outdoor living spaces, along with all the comforts and amenities you’d expect for a carefree stay with family or friends: 5-star bedding, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, mid-stay cleaning, and more.
The cherry on top? An outdoor wood-fired oven for pizza nights, a surf rack for wave enthusiasts, a sauna for those who enjoy a Nordic touch, games galore for the (big) kids, and even a fireplace for cozy winter evenings!
A unique setting
Audrey and Antoine envisioned their Guéthary house as the ultimate dream holiday home. Warm and welcoming, it’s an ideal retreat for large groups eager to embrace the outdoors, surf, and unwind. Antoine meticulously designed the spaces, while Audrey carefully selected all the furnishings. “I love it,” she says. The villa’s traditional Basque blue exterior is complemented by beautiful materials like wood and stone. Inside, you’ll find designer favorites such as the Togo sofa in the living room, alongside local antiques and subtle touches that celebrate the proximity to the ocean and the area’s deep surf culture, from books to posters.
In every corner, a lovely and well-thought-out decor.
Just a few minutes from home, the beach of Parlementia.
The Basque Country
as a playground
The house invites you to live by the rhythm of the tides. Whether you’re catching waves on a surfboard or exploring on a bike, the Atlantic coastline sets the stage for an unforgettable holiday. Just a few kilometers away, Biarritz awaits with its bustling market halls, pristine beaches, and iconic lighthouse—definitely worth a visit. Head a bit further south to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, a true gem of the region, or venture north to Bayonne, with its vibrant, traditional buildings. For those willing to explore even further, the more secluded Basque villages, scenic walks around La Rhune, and the majestic Pyrenees mountains offer endless adventures.
Everywhere you turn, you’ll find a hedonistic lifestyle that celebrates the finer things in life, from savoring perfectly cooked fish to indulging in chipirons à la plancha. Antoine and Audrey are more than happy to share their list of must-visit spots with you, ensuring you experience the best the Basque Country has to offer. We promise!
