Nestled in the heart of Cantabria’s Valles Pasiegos—a natural gem made up of three lush valleys: Pas, Miera, and Pisueña—La Cabaña del Valle is the perfect mountain hideaway for a group of ten, just 20 minutes from the sea. Built over a hundred years ago, this stone-and-wood house once served as a shelter for local shepherds to rest and graze their livestock during the colder months.
Today, La Cabaña del Valle is a charming holiday home, subtly infused with decorative touches inspired by Asia and Africa. What’s on the holiday agenda? Hiking mountain trails, greeting cows and goats along the way, surfing Atlantic waves, and enjoying breakfast as the sun rises between the peaks…
From shepherd’s hut
to holiday hideaway

All that remains of La Cabaña del Valle’s past as a shepherd’s hut is its original structure. Now beautifully restored, the chalet reveals an eclectic interior inspired by owner Ignacio’s travels through Africa and Asia.
Wood, stone, vintage pieces… every detail tells a story. Guests gather around the large fireplace, cook in the spacious rustic kitchen with a view, and unwind in a cozy suite—perfect even for a couples’ getaway.
Outside? Two terraces with breathtaking views, a large garden, and nature as far as the eye can see. A true haven where tradition meets comfort.
