Nestled among the sun-soaked hills of Domaine Jòlibois, worth knowing for its ECOCERT and AOP-certified olive oil, the ‘sophisticated yet simple’ Villa Poésie warmly embraces the abundant natural light from Les Baux de Provence valley.

"It's the perfect vacation home for sharing warm, memorable moments with a crowd!"
In the picturesque village of Eygalières, near the renowned Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Sophie collaborated with interior architects Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani of Hauvette & Madani studio to bring to life a bright, joyful vacation retreat that embodies the spirit of Provence. Outside, a vast 5,000 m² garden awaits—ideal for running across the lawn, lounging by the pool, or crafting your own pizzas.
Inside the stone house, a touch of seventies-inspired style creates a lively and welcoming atmosphere. With space to host ten guests across a suite, two double bedrooms, and a dormitory, it’s designed for a comfortable stay. The added charm? Thoughtful on-demand services: a personal welcome, breakfast, meals by a private chef, and arrangements for sports classes and activities. Embrace the Alpilles with family or friends and enjoy a truly Provençal vacation experience.
Family
reunion
The seventies banquette in the living room of La Maison Au Pays des Alpilles.
La Maison Au Pays des Alpilles is, above all, a story of family and friends for Sophie! A long-time visitor to Eygalières, where she spent her childhood and founded the local souvenir brand Au Pays des Alpilles, Sophie knows the village inside out. She cherishes reuniting here with her mother and brother, both of whom also have homes in the village.
In 2019, Sophie discovered a perfect plot just five minutes from the village. Soon after, the idea for La Maison Au Pays des Alpilles took shape. “A family home that we envisioned, designed, and built with old stone, reclaimed beams, and entirely oriented toward the village and the Alpilles cirque.” Despite being newly built, the home radiates the charm of a historic family farmhouse, making it a cozy retreat for every holiday.
The interiors were entrusted to Hauvette & Madani, with Samantha Hauvette, Sophie’s best friend, who knows her lifestyle and tastes intimately. A family affair that delights vacationers!
A home crafted
by Hauvette & Madani
The renowned duo Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani needs no introduction, with their celebrated work on an old mill in Perche, redesigned with a warm, contemporary spirit. In La Maison Au Pays des Alpilles, the focus was on bold colors—Sophie being a true fan of yellow, a color that, according to historian Michel Pastoureau, represents gold, sunshine, warmth, lemons, and prosperity.
Inside, the home features beautiful bathroom mosaics, arched doors with soft curves that complement the stone floors, warm wood, and graphic 1970s-inspired furniture by Hauvette & Madani. Farmhouse tables and benches, sourced by Julie Barrau, complete the look. The result? A welcoming home with an eclectic, timeless decor.
The pretty kitchen.
"The house is very warm and pleasant to live in year-round."
Vacation
in the Alpilles-land
Sarah Lavoine's summer cottage.
The vibrant yellow makes another appearance in the garden, this time in the form of a charming striped cabana designed by Sarah Lavoine, located near the vegetable garden. Far from being just a beach shack, it’s the gathering spot for both young and young-at-hearts: adults sip drinks while children enjoy some of the many games available.
Days in Eygalières unfold leisurely: an espresso on the village terrace before a stroll through the Provençal market. For fresh fruits and vegetables, the destination is the garden of La Maison Au Pays des Alpilles, where guests can harvest strawberries, melons, eggplants, and zucchinis. This bounty is perfect for preparing a grand feast on the terrace at lunchtime.
Afternoons stretch gently: some enjoy swimming or sunbathing by the pool, while others meander through the quaint streets of nearby villages. As evening falls, it’s time for roasted marshmallows around the fire pit before drifting off into sweet dreams.
