Halfway between the sea and the mountains, in the valley of Callosa d’en Sarrià, Villa del Valle blends rustic local charm with the comfort of a modern holiday home. It’s the kind of place people come to unwind — and return to for the laid-back lifestyle and panoramic views, with the sea shimmering in the distance.
A hidden, finca-style villa nestled in a valley
"Built in the spirit of the region’s traditional fincas, with open arches that feel like a welcoming embrace, the villa exudes serenity. Inside, every piece has been thoughtfully chosen, creating an atmosphere that’s both authentic and effortlessly harmonious."
At Villa del Valle, time slows down. Mornings begin with the sunrise over the sea, slippers still on. Lunch is shared beneath the pergola, with birdsong in the air and the scent of citrus trees all around. A holiday home near Valencia for eight, in a setting as authentic as it is welcoming.
Inside, you’ll find a spacious living room with a pellet stove, a large fully equipped kitchen, and three air-conditioned bedrooms — including a master suite with a sea view, a sofa, and its own en-suite bathroom. Two terraces, one on each side of the house, let you follow the sun from morning to night. And to keep that holiday feeling going even longer: a saltwater pool, a shaded patio, and an outdoor shower.
“We fell in love with the valley”

Welcome to Villa del Valle, where the sun (almost) never sets.
Jessica and Jesse, a couple from the Netherlands, hadn’t planned on settling here. But the valley of Callosa d’en Sarrià quickly stole their hearts. “We stumbled upon the region by chance… and never wanted to leave.”
Drawn in by the mountains, the distant sea, and endless orchards of avocados and loquats, they came across an old finca in 2022 — a former agricultural building from 2009. The connection was instant: typical arches, spacious rooms, and endless potential. And just like that, the project began.

A palette of blue, white, and green.
"Here, every season has its charm. And every stay, its unforgettable memory."
A renovation
with all the right touches
To breathe new life into the house without losing its soul, Jessica and Jesse turned to the A. Roldán Arquitectura studio. Their brief? To reconnect the spaces while preserving the finca’s rural essence. The arches — a nod to the traditional ruiraus once used for drying grapes — were kept and beautifully accentuated. Natural materials were chosen throughout, paired with warm, earthy tones.
Every detail was thoughtfully considered to create a sense of simplicity and harmony. “We wanted people to feel good the moment they stepped inside — like slipping into a warm robe after a bath.” And judging by what every guest says, mission accomplished: from the very first moment, it feels like home.

A cool afternoon nap before a dip in the pool.

tales
The décor, too, strikes a thoughtful balance between past and present. Vintage finds, second-hand furniture, soft lighting, airy curtains… every room invites you to slow down. It’s a carefully curated blend of Mediterranean lifestyle and personal flair — a quiet celebration of beautiful things.
“Every object has a story. Nothing is there by chance,” says Jessica. Special mention goes to the fireplace nook, the sea-view terrace — perfect for morning coffee or sunset yoga — and the Treasure Toy Box, a little chest of wonders just for the kids.

The stunning view of nature, with the sea shimmering in the distance.
Holidays,
Spanish style
You may come here to switch off, but you’ll stay to explore. Just minutes away, the waterfalls of Fuentes del Algar offer refreshing swims right in the heart of nature. A little further up, the hilltop village of Guadalest tells its thousand-year-old story through cobbled streets and views over a lagoon-blue lake. And for a true taste of the Mediterranean, head to Altea: whitewashed façades, art galleries, and sun-drenched terraces made for sipping cortados… it’s postcard-perfect.
Around the villa, hiking trails wind through avocado and loquat orchards — the latter a local gem: delicious, little-known, and featured in the Canasta de la terra, a welcome basket filled with regional treats. Between naps under the palm trees, home-cooked meals, and sunsets over the sea, the villa offers more than just a holiday. It’s a way of life — a return to what truly matters. A magical escape in a still-unspoiled corner of the Mediterranean.
