"There’s a feeling of being at the end of the world here."
Lovers of the Mediterranean, with its turquoise waters, hidden coves, and fragrant scrubland, Laura and Quentin turned their dream into reality by acquiring a charming shepherd’s hut in the far north of Sardinia. While the main allure of this 18th-century stone building is its breathtaking sea view, the interior is equally captivating. As passionate stylists and founders of Lorafolk—a ready-to-wear and home decor brand—they embraced the creative freedom to design and renovate Casa Li Feruli, bringing their love for beautiful objects and craftsmanship to life.
After four years of renovation, during which the original materials and foundations were carefully preserved, their “living space” is now ready to welcome its first guests, accommodating up to ten people. The 180 m² shepherd’s hut, set on a two-hectare estate, promises a vacation that beautifully blends land and sea in the great outdoors. Total relaxation is guaranteed.
A Lorafolk creation
A bohemian vintage vibe in the living room of Casa Li Feruli.
Laura and Quentin had long dreamed of bringing Lorafolk’s aesthetic to a place as beautiful and vibrant as Sardinia. With Casa Li Feruli, they’ve achieved just that! The couple has decorated and furnished the shepherd’s hut with handcrafted and second-hand pieces made from natural materials in soft hues, creating a soothing, rustic-bohemian vibe. Their finishing touch? Flowers, both dried and fresh, scattered throughout the house. The result is a countryside retreat by the sea that’s as enjoyable to live in as it is to admire.
Some of the furniture and décor, created in collaboration with Sardinian artisans, will be available for purchase, allowing guests to bring a piece of the vacation home with them. “We envisioned a place for contemplation and total disconnection, where time stands still.”
At the end of the dock, the Mediterranean sea.
"Here, it's about the gentle life shared with loved ones. More than just a family home, it’s a place of passage where the art of living and self-care harmonizes with nature."
A fully-equipped
shepherd’s hut
At Casa Li Feruli, there’s no compromise on comfort. Each of the four bedrooms comes with its own bathroom, and the living room opens up to a large, fully-equipped kitchen. The spacious terrace, shaded by a pergola, features a summer kitchen and a stone barbecue, while a second terrace boasts a traditional pizza oven—perfect for fans of Italian cuisine. Primarily a family home, Casa Li Feruli is also thoughtfully equipped for babies and children, offering a crib, changing mat, baby monitor, high chair, toys, and books. Welcome, kids!
Here, peace and quiet are guaranteed. The two-hectare estate, dotted with olive trees, scrubland plants, and wide lawns, is neighbored only by donkeys, goats, and cows. To fully enjoy the serene environment, the garden is outfitted with a bathtub and shower (complete with hot water!), wooden swings, loungers, and benches. From there, you can take in the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and the island of Isola Rossa, especially as the sun sets. It’s a vacation spot carefully designed by its owners to be comfortable, inviting, and beautiful.
At Casa Li Feruli, the sea is never out of sight.
Sardinian holidays
A holiday spent exploring Sardinia.
If letting your mind wander while admiring the Mediterranean is an activity in itself, the surroundings of Casa Li Feruli are also worth exploring. Start with Castelsardo, a medieval village perched on a hill overlooking the sea, or Alghero, a charming coastal town influenced by Catalan culture. For hiking enthusiasts who enjoy stunning landscapes, a visit to Valle della Luna is highly recommended—a valley filled with impressive granite boulders. Among the rocky walls, you’ll discover small hidden coves with turquoise waters and Mediterranean scrubland.
While strolling is delightful, eating (especially in Italy) is even better. The culinary specialties of northern Sardinia are diverse and delicious. Be sure to try culurgiones—pasta stuffed with potato, pecorino, and mint—porcheddu—roast suckling pig—and fregola. To finish your Sardinian feast, don’t miss the seada, a fried pastry filled with fresh cheese and drizzled with honey. Sardinia also offers exceptional wines for enthusiasts: Vermentino di Gallura, a fresh and fruity white, and Cannonau, a robust red. It’s the slow life, Sardinian style!
