"An exquisite setting to disconnect from the world, with family and friends."
Château Margüi, initially built in 1784, underwent a meticulous renovation in 2022, which was carried out with a deep respect for local traditions. This Provençal mansion has been adapted into a luxurious, hospitable haven worthy of Skywalker Retreats & Vineyards, a collection of exclusive estates imagined by George Lucas. Naturally, great care has been taken to preserve the authentic Provençal charm of the various buildings: the moulin, bastide, bergerie, and charming chapel, which together cover 3500m2. A setting of incomparable beauty that offers accommodation for up to 36 guests in 11 suites and 7 stylish bedrooms, ensuring the utmost comfort. It is an ideal location for large families or extended groups of friends, offering an unparalleled service experience.
Provençal style
– sublime.
Provençal decor and optimal comfort.
Offering breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and forest, sometimes to the peak of the mountain Sainte Victoire, every room in the Château is a work of art. A handful of rooms feature private terraces, allowing guests to fully immerse in the tranquillity of the Provençal countryside.
The Château’s interior, masterfully re-envisioned by acclaimed designer Michael S. Smith, captures the region’s natural and cultural essence, infused with contemporary elements. Maria Trimbell’s exquisite murals and a unique collection of rare posters further enhance the house’s artistic character.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the estate’s expansive grounds – encompassing 21 hectares of vineyards, 5 hectares of olive groves, and 65 hectares of forest with a variety of wild growing herbs – provide stunning scenic walks. Without leaving the house, you can enjoy the sunset from the terrace of the little chapel, with an aperitif and good company.
The Art of Living
– à la Française
A Mediterranean focus is at the heart of the Château Margüi experience. The estate’s chefs celebrate the local terroir, exclusively using fresh, seasonal ingredients to craft various delicious and vibrant dishes. Each meal is a unique culinary journey, served in an intimate and privileged setting.
The pleasure of uniting around the table complements the Château’s esteemed winemaking tradition, a highlight of any visit to Provence. The estate perpetuates a tradition of excellence, cultivating grape varieties that produce distinctive wines from a perfect blend of the local soil and the Provençal climate. Guests can enjoy exclusive tasting sessions led by their sommelier, delving into the subtleties of each vintage.
What does a typical day look like? Stroll through the lush gardens, enjoy a game of pétanque before taking a dip in the vast swimming pool, devour a book, and then head to the tennis court for a match or two.
Provencal decor and optimal comfort.
Amenities and Services
– of Excellence
A dining spot that can rival any top-tier establishment in the region.
The Château boasts a wide range of facilities worthy of a boutique hotel: fireplaces with seasonal log fires, a grand piano, a cinema where you can immerse yourself in the world of the Star Wars saga, a gym and yoga studio, and an impressive wine cellar.
For even more conviviality, guests can gather on the picturesque patio with its large wooden tables and wrought-iron chairs—a bucolic setting for an excellent meal accompanied by the estate’s finest vintages.
The stay is made even more comfortable by house managers and staff’s subtle yet attentive service. Day and evening housekeeping, as well as concierge services, can be provided on an uninterrupted basis for the duration of your stay. The services are personalized to suit individual preferences and add to an exceptional, tailor-made stay.
