In Le Pradet, a small wooden cabin from the 1950s has been completely renovated. A holiday for five, spent between the creeks, the beach just a few minutes away, and the terrace with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean.

"Here, it feels like you're living on a boat, with breathtaking views of the sea."

Nestled in the creeks of Le Pradet, Le Parasol is a charming 1950s wooden cabin. Once home to workers from the arsenal and later artist and designer François Arnal, it has been lovingly renovated into a cozy holiday retreat for five guests–two adults and three children.

With a spacious wooden terrace offering stunning views of the Mediterranean, Le Parasol’s charm is further enhanced by its proximity to Pin de Galle beach. Days here are all about relaxation: napping under the pines, picnicking on the sand, or exploring the creeks with a mask and snorkel, all under the warmth of the southern sun.

Pradétans for a day,
Pradétans forever

Le Pradet—meaning “little meadow” in Provençal, thanks to the many streams that nourish the village—has been home to Clarisse since childhood. “I’m the fourth generation to spend summers at Pin de Galle. In this creek, time stands still, life is sweet, and it allows you to reconnect with yourself.”

Eager to pass on her love for this special place, filled with memories of family and friends’ vacations, to her own children, she and her partner began searching for a cabin. In 2022, they found Le Parasol, which was already being renovated by the previous owners. All that remained was to add their personal touch before welcoming the first guests!

"The cabins endure over time, passed down from generation to generation. I spend holidays today that are similar to when I was four years old. Everything moves so fast in the world, but here, it's comforting, timeless."

The final touch

The plan for the day? A nap in the shade of the fig tree.

Without an architect, Clarisse and her partner brought their dream wooden cabin to life. The sand floor that Clarisse remembered from her childhood was replaced with durable, beach-friendly flooring. The white-painted walls evoke the charm of a Greek island home, while high-end touches like a plush sofa, a luxurious bed, and a Gervasoni coffee table—typically for outdoor use but here as a nod to past summers spent in and out—add comfort and style.

The minimalist decor ensures the stunning sea views are the true highlight, visible from almost every corner. Outside, the terrace is perfect for hosting sunset dinners. The result? The cozy feel of a hotel suite paired with the expansive Mediterranean view—the ultimate vacation escape.

Holidays
at the pace of Le Pradet

In Le Pradet, the activities are all about embracing the sea. You can relax on beautiful beaches, explore the coastal trail leading to Carqueiranne, or dive into the waters for snorkeling or kayaking—there’s even a kayak available right at the cabin. History and nature lovers will enjoy visiting the Fort de la Garonne for its panoramic views and the Jardins du Pradet for a botanical escape.

Foodies can’t miss the local farmers’ market, where Provençal specialties like olive oil, tapenade, figs, and anchoïade await. Or, follow Clarisse’s advice and dine at one of her favorite spots: Lido Beach’s beachfront restaurant in Hyères or Jo’s overwater hut at Le Layet. One thing’s for sure—you’ll want to come back!
