"The house enchants with its simple, cozy charm and authentic feel—a true 'Snow White cottage,' just without the dwarfs!"

Since childhood, Nathalie has explored the trails of the Périgord Vert, a picturesque corner of the Dordogne where plains, forests, and meadows paint the landscape in various shades of green. After years spent abroad and in Paris, Nathalie and her husband Vincent returned to their cherished Périgord to transform this traditional farmhouse, dating back to 1789 and in the family since 1968, into a charming countryside retreat.

Designed to host two to four guests, La Maisonnette des Vignes features two charming bedrooms (you’ll need to pass through the first to reach the second). Beautifully renovated by its proud owners, it offers the perfect escape for city dwellers seeking a peaceful retreat in nature. Nearby, hiking trails, woods, and ponds provide the ideal setting for relaxation and exploration. The icing on the cake? Nathalie takes care of every detail from start to finish, ensuring her guests can simply unwind and enjoy their stay!

Built in 1789, this traditional Limousin-Périgord farmhouse is part of a picturesque hamlet made up of six other buildings of the same style, each with tiled roofs and charming stone walls. “It’s one of the prettiest spots in the area,” says Nathalie. The nearby Vignes de Chalusset, where sacramental wine for the Collegiate Church of Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche (among others) was once produced, inspired the name of the house.

In Nathalie’s family for nearly 50 years, her parents—a Limousin father and a Russian mother—spent much of their lives abroad, carefully collecting treasures from their travels. These items are now preserved in the two houses and two barns on the property, adding a special charm to the home and its rich family history.

After many years of living abroad and two decades in Paris, Nathalie and Vincent decided to change their lives and continue the legacy started by Nathalie’s parents: “Make the Vignes a little piece of paradise!” A challenge they’ve clearly mastered. From the thoughtfully curated interior décor to the rustic charm of the house—complete with exposed stones, beams, and tiled floors—every detail has been carefully considered. The expansive wooded and flower-filled estate further enhances the feeling of being at home in this preserved natural haven.

Inside, nothing has been overlooked: “Every object is cherished, every book is a favorite. This house is made for sharing; our guests feel at home because we feel so at home here!” says Nathalie.
