"The house is ideally located between the sea and the mountains, just ten minutes from the most beautiful villages of the French Riviera and 20 minutes from the beaches."

A true hidden gem in the Cannes hinterland, this historic stone bastide brims with Mediterranean charm. Lovingly restored by its owner, Céline Mastrorelli, to serve once again as an inn, Maison Mastrorelli embodies the essence of Provençal living. Ideally situated, it provides the perfect base for exploring the French Riviera’s picturesque villages and iconic beaches. Not far from local shops, it combines the serenity of Roquefort-les-Pins with effortless access to the region’s highlights.

Spanning 240 m², Maison Mastrorelli offers a comfortable retreat for eight to ten guests, with three double bedrooms and a lounge-bedroom that easily transforms into a cozy sleeping space. Your stay can be as relaxing or as active as you desire: unwind by the pool, explore the scenic countryside, or try your hand at Provençal cooking in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen. Owner Céline adds a personal touch with tailored services, stepping in as a private chef for a meal or a full day upon request, and organizing activities such as boat rentals or yoga sessions in the property’s expansive 1,750 m² garden. Welcome to Maison Mastrorelli—easy to arrive, impossible to leave.

of the French Riviera

Before becoming the proud owner and innkeeper of Maison Mastrorelli, Céline pursued a career in communications, dedicated to showcasing the beauty of her birthplace, the Côte d’Azur, while nurturing her lifelong passion for music. “I’ve always sought to create connections, foster sharing, and inspire meaningful exchanges—whether through music, food, or personal experiences. My goal is to offer a space where everyone can craft their own stories.” Music lovers and aspiring musicians will delight in the house’s thoughtfully curated equipment, including a speaker, acoustic guitar amplifier, and a stunning Kawai Hybrid piano.

In 2019, Céline discovered this 18th-century property and saw the perfect canvas for her dream of starting anew. Her vision was clear: “A space to welcome travelers, friends, artists, creators, and epicureans—a home filled with comfort, sunshine, laughter, and music.” With her natural gift for hospitality and her love of the French Riviera, Céline transformed her dream into Maison Mastrorelli, a place where her passions come to life.

"The house has an enveloping, almost maternal energy that makes you feel at ease the moment you step inside."

When Céline acquired the building in 2019, she began a thoughtful renovation that was completed in 2020, restoring the grandeur of this two-century-old inn. True to its Provençal roots—with terracotta tiles, cut stone, and wall niches—Céline focused on preserving the original materials while modernizing the space. The result is a home that feels both timeless and contemporary, with a soothing palette of light shades (mainly white) and raw materials like terracotta, stone, and wood creating an atmosphere of understated elegance.

For the interior design, Céline curated a blend of new and vintage treasures, including ceramics from La Maison Pernoise, a Gervasoni pendant light, and Danish House Doctor armchairs. This harmonious mix subtly modernizes the home while paying tribute to its history.

In the garden, the old trough—once used for passing horses—has been transformed into a charming pond adorned with a mosaic. A newly added swimming pool, edged with stone in perfect harmony with the house, enhances the outdoor experience. The covered terrace has also been revamped, making it the ideal spot to gather in the evening, bake pizzas in the wood-fired oven, and enjoy the peaceful soundtrack of cicadas.

Holidays
on the French Riviera

Having spent years promoting the Côte d’Azur, Céline is the ultimate guide to the best spots around Maison Mastrorelli. Guests are greeted not only with a (delicious) homemade tart but also with a personalized guide to the region’s must-see places: idyllic beaches for sunbathing, exceptional restaurants ranging from Michelin 3-star establishments to casual seaside spots serving freshly grilled fish, and the charming Provençal villages of Grasse and Saint-Paul-de-Vence, ideal for leisurely strolls. Markets filled with local delights, like fougasse and olives, are also on the list for a true taste of the South.

In Roquefort-les-Pins, a picturesque and lesser-known gem, visitors can revel in peace and tranquility, far from the summer crowds of Saint-Tropez, making it the perfect Côte d’Azur retreat.
