"All year round, the house is flooded with natural light thanks to its large windows."
In the delightful town of Capbreton in the Landes, Stéphanie, founder of the Cluque collection of boutique homes, introduces Maison Suzette—a stunning addition located right next to Maison Ernest. This contemporary wooden beach house boasts expansive glass doors and two patios that flood the interiors with natural light. Guests can savor lunch by the pool on the shaded terrace, surrounded by lush pine trees and colorful blooms.
In the single-story home, you’ll find two bedrooms—one with a double bed and the other with a double bed and a daybed—connected by a shared bathroom, a suite with its own bathroom designed for two guests, a kitchen, a living room and a living area. The house also includes a separate bathroom, a spacious kitchen, and a welcoming living area. With its clean, calming aesthetic, each room invites relaxation. Maison Suzette is the perfect holiday home for unwinding and enjoying leisurely bike rides to the nearby ocean, pine forests, Capbreton’s charming town center, or neighboring villages.
Cluque
A contemporary house with sleek, clean lines.
After more than 30 years in the hospitality industry in Paris, Stéphanie decided to channel her expertise into finding the perfect vacation homes in the Landes. Maison Ernest captured her heart first, followed by its neighboring property, the future Maison Suzette. Instead of choosing between them, she brought both into her boutique collection, Cluque—a name inspired by Gascon slang for “an impromptu nap, taken without planning, offering a moment of pure relaxation.”
The two neighboring homes are ideal for larger groups, comfortably accommodating up to 15 guests when rented together. Tucked away in a peaceful cul-de-sac, Maison Suzette is just a short walk from the ocean and local shops and a quick bike ride to nearby Hossegor. The added bonus? A dedicated concierge service ready to handle every detail, so guests can fully unwind and savor their stay.

What sets Maison Suzette apart—named after a close relative of Stéphanie—is its unique architecture. “The plot is triangular, so the architect had to adapt. The house is unexpected, with no straight lines or typical shapes.” Constructed entirely from light wood and concrete, it offers a distinctive experience that architecture enthusiasts are sure to appreciate.
Built in 2023, the house was designed to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. “When the large windows are fully open, the transition between inside and outside disappears, creating an incredibly inviting atmosphere.” Start your day with coffee in one of the two interior patios, surrounded by greenery and open skies, then cool off with a dip in the small pool. It’s a true holiday retreat, letting you savor the gentle Landes climate at every moment.

Landais
house
Soft tones in every room.
The interiors reflect the essence of the house: sleek, warm, and wood-focused. Crafted from locally sourced upcycled materials—primarily from Les Chineries de la Smala, a shop founded by two Landais artisans—the rattan and wood furniture fits perfectly into the serene, white rooms.
At the heart of the dining room is a large country-style table, surrounded by a mix of restored chairs and a bench, each thoughtfully chosen. “We opted for tones of cream, linen, and sand, accented with brown, to evoke the soft sands of the Landes beaches and the region’s iconic pine forests.” A home that captures the true spirit of the Landes.
