Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, Mas des Baux embodies the signature architecture of Les Baux-de-Provence, with its light-colored stone walls and traditional tiled roof. Renovated in 2022 by a local architect, the goal was to preserve the soul of the property while seamlessly integrating thoughtful architectural enhancements.“The south-facing terrace was extended, the bay windows redesigned, and the old pool transformed into a proper lap pool,” the team explains.

The result? A perfect harmony of noble, time-honored materials—natural stone walls, solid oak beams, and soft lime finishes—blended with modern amenities for ultimate comfort.

Provençal
minimalism

The interiors of Mas des Baux exude a warm yet refined ambiance, inspired by the Provençal art of living. Large openings flood the spaces with natural light—even in winter—creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Every detail has been carefully curated, from a striking bronze mirror by Marie Khouri in the living room to thoughtfully selected artworks, including a standout piece: Jan Gulfoss’ photograph Vol d’aigrettes devant un décor.

The color palette feels drawn straight from the Provençal landscape—terracotta, beige, white, taupe… “We envisioned a space where noble materials meet mineral tones: clay, lime, and weathered wood, all enhanced by warm hues that echo the earth and stone.”

From the terrace, guests can take in breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside—a sight that becomes even more magical at sunset and later, when the stars begin to appear.
