"Described as "The Pearl of the Alps in its glacier setting" by Victor Hugo, Combloux boasts one of the most stunning panoramas of the Alps, overlooking Mont Blanc."
Originally from Brittany, Anne-Sophie, her sister, and their father—who had always dreamed of it—became adopted Combloux locals after many stays in the area. After months of searching, they still couldn’t find THE property their father had always dreamed of. Then, they stumbled upon the perfect plot of land for their dream home: completely secluded, with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc.
Together with Chalets Bayrou, they envisioned a cozy yet spacious chalet—an impressive 320 m²—crafted from raw materials. Completed in 2020, the chalet is both stunning and inviting, thoughtfully designed down to every detail to comfortably host 14 guests: four double bedrooms, a dormitory for six children, five bathrooms, a sauna, a heated pool, a fully equipped ski room, a cinema room, and a fireplace. It’s the perfect retreat to enjoy the simple luxury of the mountains, whether in summer or winter.
A contemporary
family chalet
Built from raw and noble materials—larch, reclaimed wood, luzerne stone, and wool—the chalet embodies true mountain luxury. Anne-Sophie, who carefully oversaw the project from start to finish, proudly shares, “If we had to do it all over again, we’d do it exactly the same way.”
The family took charge of the interior design as well, visiting Maison & Objet to find the perfect decorative pieces. One standout is the majestic Triple Orbit chandelier from Ango, which now hangs over the dining table. But the true star of the show is the view of Mont Blanc, perfectly framed by the chalet’s soft color palette—white, gray, wood—and natural materials. Anthracite tiles and parquet floors are layered with thick rugs, creating a cozy, serene atmosphere that makes you feel at one with the mountains.

"There have been two occasions where guests loved the chalet so much that they wanted to buy it!"
Everywhere, the view of the mountains.

Chalet Les Granges is not only stunning but also exceptionally well-designed. Mountain vacations, especially for larger families or groups of friends, often come with logistical challenges—especially when gearing up for the slopes. But here, everything is effortlessly managed. Every detail of your stay can be planned in advance: babysitting, lift passes, ski rentals, instructors, lessons, excursions, and restaurant reservations.
On-site, accessing the ski area is a breeze, and experienced skiers can even end their day right at the chalet’s doorstep. For others, a private driver ensures a safe return. After a day on the slopes, let your ski gear dry in the dedicated room while you take a dip in the heated pool, relax in the sauna, enjoy a massage, or gather for a family movie in the cinema room. Later, indulge in a raclette or a gourmet meal prepared by a private chef.
Summer vacations at Chalet Les Granges are also enjoyed.

“Combloux is a family-friendly area with wide-open spaces, a true hidden gem.” While it’s perfect for skiing and winter sports, the fun doesn’t stop when the snow melts.
As the grass reappears and cows return to the peaks, the mountains transform into a paradise for hikers and strollers. Looking for a bit more adventure? Try mountain biking, paragliding, or even hot air ballooning. The mountains beckon all year round, from January 1st to December 31st!
