Nestled in a lush green setting atop an ancient volcano, Ebbio is a one-of-a-kind estate. This carefully restored 13th-century farmhouse now welcomes up to 20 guests, offering a three-hectare park and an organic vegetable garden. The perfect countryside escape!

A one-of-a-kind estate in Tuscany

"Ebbio is full of heart and character—a romantic countryside haven where memories are made."

Hidden in the heart of a lush forest, Ebbio is built on an ancient, now dormant volcano once sacred to the Etruscans, offering breathtaking views of the medieval walled town of Monteriggioni. With eight bedrooms accommodating up to twenty guests, seven bathrooms, and a spacious 100m² gym, the property is perfect for yoga retreats as well as family or friends getaways.

The beautiful estate spans seven hectares of gardens, forests, and organic fields, where fruits, vegetables, and herbs are grown using organic farming methods. Between thick stone walls and terracotta tiles, comfort is guaranteed year-round, with the scent of lavender drifting through the house’s many windows. The cherry on top? The generous services offered by the owners and the delicious meals included in the rental—farm-to-table and entirely vegetarian.

Ebbio

Ebbio is, above all, the story of a dream come true. In 1989, Francesca Bevilacqua fell in love with this abandoned Tuscan farmhouse. “My mother was never a pragmatic woman,” her daughter fondly recalls. After several trips to India and a complete lifestyle transformation, Francesca decided to leave the city behind and create a place for sharing—where people could come together around common passions.

The beginning was tough: it was just Francesca and her six-year-old daughter working to restore the dilapidated property, driven by a vision of living in harmony with nature. Francesca immersed herself in the study of nutrition, alternative medicine, and organic farming techniques. She envisioned a space where respect for the seasons and the environment would guide everything. Thirty years later, Ebbio has become a sanctuary for those seeking to reconnect with nature—and with themselves.

A renovation
true to the spirit of the place

When she returns to help her mother—after years of traveling the world and working in the luxury industry—her daughter realizes that her mother’s dream has become hers as well. “Ebbio has become my therapy,” she confides. She throws herself into the restoration and decoration of the estate with the same attention to detail that once defined her career.

The result? Ebbio’s decor is a masterful blend of tradition and modernity. Each room has its own unique character, showcasing natural materials and earthy tones that echo the Tuscan landscape. The large wooden table, where guests come together, is a tribute to the conviviality at the heart of Italian homes. Here, everything is designed to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere—where every object tells a story.

immersion

Pretty details everywhere.

Pretty details everywhere.

Ebbio is truly a place of life and exchange. The estate hosts yoga, meditation, and holistic therapy retreats, with a dedicated space designed for these practices. “We created an ideal place to reconnect, away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world,” the family explains.

A wide range of activities is on offer: cooking workshops showcasing organic produce from the garden, wild foraging lessons, natural cosmetics making… And for those eager to explore, Ebbio is ideally located just a few kilometers from Siena and Florence, offering privileged access to the wonders of Tuscany.

No stay would be complete without mentioning the estate’s cuisine. Meals here are vegetarian, lovingly prepared by Francesca herself, using fresh harvests from the garden. “Even those who aren’t vegetarians forget they’re not eating meat,” she jokes. Each dish is a tribute to Mediterranean flavors, blending tradition with creativity. Benvenuti in Toscana!
