White wood, clean decor, pine trees in the distance… Villa Sixtine embodies the laid-back spirit of Cap Ferret. It’s a great place to spend time with eight people enjoying the pool or the Arcachon Bay.

The villa warmly welcomes guests year-round, inviting them to relax and savor the moment, no matter the season.
Cap Ferret’s prestige is partly due to its commitment to preserving its local architecture, which plays a crucial role in maintaining the authenticity of this exceptional destination. Villa Abaïta, a project completed in 2022 by the renowned company Louis Gaume, known for its iconic creations such as La Co(o)rniche and Ha(a)ïtza hotels in the Arcachon Bay, embodies the unique charm of Neo-Basque architecture. Crafted using noble and natural materials, the villa exudes a refined and captivating aesthetic deeply rooted in the traditions of Ferret-Capiennes.
The realization of a dream.
A dreamed setting.
Morgan and Jessica, “unconditional lovers of the Peninsula,” had long dreamed of providing their family with an exceptional vacation house in one of the best spots in the Arcachon Bay. Fortunately, or rather, thanks to their unwavering determination, they managed to secure a privileged plot in the heart of the village of Grand Piquey.
Eager to establish a family haven worthy of its name, Morgan and Jessica envisioned four beautiful suites and a dormitory for five children, creating the perfect space for a lively gathering of cousins. The house boasts exceptional outdoor amenities, including a generously sized, seasonally heated pool and an essential petanque court, all set within a sprawling 1300 m² garden meticulously designed by a professional landscaper. The main living area seamlessly opens onto a spacious wooden terrace with an inviting garden lounge – an idyllic setting for indulging in a platter of Cap Ferret’s renowned oysters or hosting a delightful barbecue.
A stylish house
A family home that doesn’t compromise on style. The goal was to anchor the decoration in the region’s spirit, a vision realized through collaboration with local decoration stores Gilberte with Love and La Maison Poétique, conveniently located just around the corner from the house. While respecting local tradition, influences borrowed from villas in Ibiza, Mykonos, or even Mexico injected a dreamy touch.
Once again, wood takes center stage. The chairs, bar stools, carefully chosen from Kave Home, and the dining table, custom-crafted by For Me Lab from a unique Balinese tree trunk, highlight this noble material. A striking staircase, serving as a decorative centerpiece, greets visitors at the entrance. Not only does it add to the aesthetics, but it also serves a functional purpose by allowing light to flow freely, avoiding compartmentalization of the space. A skilled carpenter was entrusted with its custom creation and was responsible for designing the entryway’s furnishings, closets, benches, and even the dormitory, ensuring a harmonious and wood-themed ambiance.
Un volume sur mesure.
Live the Ferret experience.
Here, every moment unveils more of the splendor of this Natura 2000 classified site. We kickstart our day with a delightful breakfast on the terrace, surrounded by majestic trees, including centuries-old pine trees. We explore local must-visits, from the bakery Chez Pascal – “their signature product: les dunes blanches!” – to oyster huts like La Kabane. The markets of Pirraillan and Ferret immediately set the mood.
The Hirondelles beaches and the Grand Piquey jetty, just a short stroll from the villa, offer the perfect starting point for planning a boat outing. Surfers will be delighted to know that the ocean is a mere 10-minute walk away (or 15 minutes by bike!). Following a relaxing paddleboarding session on the tranquil waters of the basin, we conclude the day in style, either with an aperitif on a barge or, in absolute serenity, back at home, enjoying a bath with a view of the pine trees.
