The perfect wooden cabin-villa
"Enjoy the ocean, the bay, and the buzz of Cap Ferret, all while unwinding in the peace and quiet of Villa Giulia."
Tucked away among the pines, Villa Giulia is a quintessential Cap Ferret home, designed by architect Frédéric Thet, the mind behind Le Cœur du Ferret. What sets it apart from its neighbors? Its palette: painted wood and soft almond green—chosen to echo the surrounding nature—contrasting with crisp white interiors that channel a Californian vibe.
Perfectly located to enjoy the best of Cap Ferret, this villa features three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to six guests. Thoughtfully decorated and equipped with modern amenities, it offers a relaxed, easygoing living experience just moments from the ocean, the local market, and Plage de l’Horizon. And to make your stay even smoother, a dedicated concierge service is on hand with a range of à la carte options—from a private chef and yoga classes to extra housekeeping and massages. Just ask, and it’s taken care of.
A local
villa

The kitchen with California vibes.
The story of Villa Giulia began with a plot of land shared among friends—mostly non-buildable, except for a small triangular section. “It was a challenge, but also an opportunity,” explains the architect. After securing a building permit, they imagined a villa that would fit naturally into the local architecture while adding a modern twist. “We wanted something simple yet distinctive,” he adds.
Inspired by the iconic cabanes tchanquées, the wooden villa is both understated and elegant. Despite being built on an 80 m² triangular foundation, from the outside, it appears anything but triangular. That’s the magic of architect Frédéric Thet’s design—playing with shapes and materials to create a space that is both functional and visually striking.
"What we truly love about Cap Ferret is the sense of tranquility—it’s such a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. Being here feels like stepping into another world."
The perfect
holiday villa
When designing the villa, Frédéric Thet envisioned open spaces that connect effortlessly with the outdoors and a minimalist interior featuring refined materials like white-painted paneling and pale hardwood floors, creating a bright, all-white shell. “The idea was to enhance the natural light and cultivate a calm, serene atmosphere. The decor is simple yet elegant, with a subtle nod to California that fits right in with the natural tones of the surroundings,” he explains.
The kitchen, with its polished concrete surfaces, is adorned with handcrafted terracotta zellige tiles that add warmth and character to the space. In the bathrooms, patterned zelliges paired with sleek black fixtures create an elegant contrast while staying true to the home’s overall aesthetic. The bedrooms, reminiscent of treehouse-style cabins on stilts, have been designed as intimate retreats that open onto the pines and surrounding greenery.

From the living room, one can admire the garden.
Tailor-made
holidays
Villa Giulia enjoys an exceptional location, just minutes from the attractions of the Arcachon Bay, a favorite spot for vacationers. Only 50 meters from the ocean and steps away from Plage de l’Horizon, the villa offers full access to all the coastal pleasures. The market and local shops are also nearby, making everyday life simple and enjoyable.
For a dose of nature and culture, the Cap Ferret lighthouse and nearby cycling paths are just a few minutes away by bike. The iconic Bélisaire Pier is only a five-minute walk. Staying in is just as tempting—the garden, surrounded by climbing plants and local greenery, is perfect for a shaded nap under the pines or a relaxed barbecue with friends and family.
