Villa Clara is set within a 1500 m² garden, home to a summer kitchen and four buildings redesigned by Frédéric Thet, perfect for hosting 12 guests. Just a short walk from the ocean, the villa is a surfer’s paradise.

Four cabins just a stone’s throw from the ocean

"The atmosphere of the villa is incredibly peaceful—it really feels like home. It’s tucked away from the street and just a stone’s throw from the ocean."

Located in the heart of Cap Ferret, just a short walk from the ocean, Villa Clara can host up to 12 guests across six bedrooms, spread over four wooden “cabins” reimagined by Bordeaux architect Frédéric Thet. It’s an ideal setup for families and groups of friends.

Blending naturally into the lush surroundings—with a vibrant garden and a south-east facing covered terrace—the buildings are joined by a charming summer kitchen, perfect for long lunches or festive evenings. The little extra? A local concierge service dedicated to making sure guests are thoroughly pampered.

Vacations

The Arcachon Bay on vacation mode means sunshine, cycling paths, a laid-back vibe, and a preserved natural environment – the perfect setting to enjoy your stay. With the villa just a stone’s throw from Horizon Beach and the ocean, you can surf or take a dip at any time.

To help arrange these activities, the concierge service offers a wide range of personalized options, from bike rentals to tailor-made itinerary planning. Support is available throughout the stay to ensure guests enjoy a truly unique and relaxing experience.

The local
spirit

Each wooden cabin has its own personality, with colors and materials that create a distinct atmosphere. The first, clad in navy blue with a blue-and-white mosaic, evokes the sea and sky. The second, in deep green and petrol blue, blends naturally into the surrounding greenery. The mosaic tiling, specially designed by Frédéric Thet for Atelier Zellige in Toulouse, adds a handcrafted, artisanal touch.

The third cabin, with its multicolored harlequin mosaic, brings a burst of color and cheer—vibrant hues that capture the joy and energy of vacation. The fourth building, also rich in color, keeps the overall harmony while adding a playful touch that never feels overdone. And last but not least: the summer kitchen, gleaming in white with its colorful mosaic accents, is designed like an outdoor guinguette. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed meal on the terrace, with shutters that let you play with light and shade throughout the day.

A décor
designed by Catherine Lassalle

The interior design of Villa Clara was led by interior designer Catherine Lassalle, who expertly blended elegance and nature to create a high-end surf lodge. “The goal was to create a space that exudes serenity while being both chic and laid-back,” Catherine explains. The design combines noble materials like leather, wood, and bamboo with carefully selected vintage pieces—think 1950s Danish armchairs, 1990s American-made surfboards, and charming flea market finds. Unique touches were a priority for the designer, from photographs by local artists to handcrafted furniture in natural wood.

The garden, like the interior, was designed to blend naturally with its surroundings. Wooden pergolas, loungers, and lush greenery add a refreshing, laid-back feel. “We wanted the garden to become a true living space, with plenty of spots to relax and enjoy nature,” says Catherine. The kids’ favorite spot? The sand-covered terrace—perfect for kicking off the day before heading to the beach.
